Two ways to travel with us

Some people arrive with the itinerary already chosen. Some arrive with a month and a wish list. We do both, and both end up with a local specialist standing next to you on day one.

Ready-made

Our published packages

The eight itineraries above, run exactly as written. Everything is included and the plan is published, so there is nothing to negotiate and nothing to find out later.

  • Fixed day-by-day programme, fully inclusive
  • Hotels, meals, transport, guides and entrance fees in one plan
  • Private departures for two people upwards
  • Book it as it is, or adjust the pace and the hotel tier

Made for you

A trip built around you

Tell us the month, the number of people, roughly what budget you have in mind, and the things you would not miss. We design the rest — route, pace, hotels, guiding language, the lot.

  • Any number of travellers, from two upwards
  • Add or drop cities and routes as you like
  • A private vehicle throughout, with a dedicated local guide in every city
  • A written itinerary and a line-by-line price within 24 hours

Why travellers come to us

We are the operator, not a middleman

Wander China is a licensed inbound tour agency registered in China. Your hotels, your guide, your vehicle and your tickets are arranged by the same company you are talking to — not passed down a chain of subcontractors.

A local expert in every city

You are never handed to a national guide who recites the same script in six provinces. Each destination has its own licensed specialist who lives and works there, briefed on your itinerary before you arrive. French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Korean guides are available on request.

100% shopping-free, by choice

No compulsory visits, no commission-based stops, no spending quota. You are never stranded at a souvenir store for hours, and never downgraded to a thinner guide or a lesser hotel because you declined to buy something.

Private, deliberately

Private departures for two people upwards are standard rather than a special request, with a dedicated vehicle throughout and a local expert guide in each destination. Every one of our eight routes runs this way.

How it works

1. You tell us the shape of it

Dates, how many of you, roughly what budget, and the things you would not want to miss. A message on WhatsApp is fine.

2. We send a plan back

Within 24 hours, in English: a day-by-day itinerary with hotels, transport, meals and entrance fees, and a price with everything itemised. Nothing is charged.

3. We change it together

Slower pace, different cities, a different hotel tier, a flight instead of a train. That round is free and unlimited.

4. You confirm, we confirm

You confirm the plan and pay a deposit to secure the dates. We send a formal invoice and a written record of exactly what is included.

Frequently asked questions

How is this tour priced?
Every itinerary is quoted per booking, because the final rate depends on your group size, travel dates and hotel tier. Send us your dates and number of travellers and we return a full draft itinerary with a line-by-line price within 24 hours. Nothing is charged until you decide.
Can the itinerary be changed?
Yes, and most travellers do. The published itineraries are a starting point rather than a fixed schedule. We can change the pace, the hotel tier, the cities, the number of nights, and the rail-versus-flight plan. That adjustment round is free and unlimited, and it happens before you pay a deposit.
How do we book and pay?
You confirm the plan and pay a deposit, which secures your departure date. The balance is due 30 days before arrival. We accept bank transfer, major credit and debit cards, and payment through Alipay or WeChat Pay for the balance. We will send you a formal invoice and a written confirmation of exactly what is included before the balance falls due, and we will never ask for card details over an unsecured channel.
Do you help with China visas?
Yes. We provide visa and document support for every market we operate in, and we will confirm the current entry requirements for your nationality against the official source before you book — requirements change, and we would rather check than send you an old checklist. We also prepare the invitation letter our ground operators ask for.
Is the trip really shopping-free?
Yes, 100%, and by deliberate choice rather than accident. There are no shopping stops, no compulsory visits and no commission-based stops of any kind. You are never stranded at a souvenir store for hours, never pushed toward a spending quota, and never downgraded to a thinner guide or a lesser hotel because you declined to buy something. If you are ever taken to a shop on a Wander China tour, tell us and we will put it right.
Can you do a private trip just for us?
That is the second half of what we do, and it is the half most of our travellers prefer. Private departures for two people upwards are standard rather than a special request, with a dedicated vehicle throughout and a local expert guide in each destination. Send us a message on WhatsApp with your month, group size and budget, and we will send back a written plan within 24 hours.
